Statewide rallies push to get paid sick time for all proposal on ballot

FLINT, Mich. – After failing to succeed in getting the issue before the voters in 2016, efforts are underway once again to force Michigan businesses to provide paid sick leave.

Organizers of the ‘MI Time to Care’ campaign staged several rallies across the state Tuesday to help launch the latest petition drive.

Supporters of the ballot proposal say there is an estimated 11 million Michigan residents who are without access to earned paid sick time.
